A Feast for the Eyes at the Fylde Gallery
Some of the world’s top food photography will be exhibited at the Fylde Gallery in Booth’s Lytham store in February. 30 winning images from Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2013, the global celebration of the art of food photography, are to be shown from Wednesday 5 February to Wednesday 26 February.
“We are absolutely delighted that Fylde Gallery is hosting some of our top winning images,” says Caroline Kenyon, Director of the awards. “Edwin Booth, Chairman of Booth’s, was on the judging panel and with Booth’s own reputation for using the very best food imagery in all their promotional material, it brings everything together beautifully.”
The awards, which had over 5500 entries from over 50 countries around the world, feature numerous diverse categories, from Food in the Field to Food in the Street and from Food to Sale to Food in Action, in memory of Philip Harben, Britain’s first TV chef who actually started life as a photographer.
Open to professional and amateur, old and young, the 2013 awards also featured the Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year for the first time, showing images of Product, People and Places relating to all things vinous.
