For the love of Pink, Food and Valentine’s
Without exception, all of the team here love to talk, think and eat food, oh, and when fortunate, try a chilled glass of Champagne. For all its commercialism, Valentine’s Day offers a rather lovely opportunity to try out new recipes and here’s what came to mind for us this year. Of course, each item is linked by one thing, the colour pink!
Thanks to Rick Stein’s recent programme 'Road to Mexico' aired on BBC 2 we’ve been salivating over all things tacos at the moment. For some time, we’ve been meaning to try a recipe the team at Pink Lady® Apples shared for Fish Tacos, so we think that’s going to be number one on the list!

Then, last week, we got distracted by a recipe the team at Good Things magazine shared for a Champagne Rhubarb Cheesecake by Hannah Miles.
In the UK, rhubarb is seasonal at this time of year and Yorkshire Triangle Champagne Rhubarb is utterly stunning. Here at Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year we have been fortunate to receive striking rhubarb images into our competition which have gone on to become Finalists.

No conversation about Champagne Rhubarb would be complete without digressing to a glass of actual Champagne and, with Vitalie Taittinger on our judging panel and Champagne Taittinger sponsoring our Winners’ Reception, we need look no further than a glass of Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé….
So whether you are celebrating Valentine's with friends, family or a partner may we wish you a day with lots of tasty food and drink to try.
Don't forget to take a picture, it might just be the winning image of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2019.
Happy Valentine's Day!
