Rachelle said of being a category winner, ‘Very excited to be chosen from so many entries, especially with such an amazing array of judges”.

We asked Rachelle to tell us a little about where she lives and if, at all, it influences her photography.

I live in Melbourne Australia, and yes it is an amazing place for food with so many great restaurants and incredible regional produce. Foodies are everywhere so it makes for a great environment.

What first interested you in food photography?

I love to cook, eat, grow, look at food magazines, cook books... everything really to do with food so it seemed natural to focus on food in my photography.

Which photographers, if any, have most influenced your work?

One of my favourite food photographers is Katie Quinn Davies she is such an inspiration with her blog What Katie Ate plus now regular in Delicious magazine.
