williamI was born in Indonesia in the 2nd biggest city called Surabaya 36 years ago. I graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney, Australia.

Since 2004 I have owned a printing company called enog enog Graphic Printing and I developed an interest in food photography in 2006, working under the company name enog Foodphotography.

Since I live in Indonesia, a very huge country with thousands of islands and thousands of exotic traditional food, food has always been a part of my life and I really love eating great food and for me food is an art.

yin and yang of foodHow it is made, how it is presented, how they mix the ingredients one with another so it becomes a great taste, it is just amazes me. I always want to make the food look beautiful and mouthwatering so that everyone who sees it, wants to grab it and eat it!

I feel food can also connect people and unites people from around the world whatever their background. Initially that is why I became interested and passionate about food photography. I decided to take a short course about food photography in Singapore and Jakarta and the rest I learnt by myself.

I love sharing my knowledge about East Asian Food, especially Indonesian food, we have thousands of delicious foods and I would like to share it with the rest of the world.

William is also now a contributor of StockFood the world’s leading food image stock agency since last year and you can find out more him here:
