Student Food Photographer of the Year supported by the Royal Photographic Society

This is a really exciting opportunity for the next big name in the world of food photography! Be inspired by the themes in any of our categories, whether classical food photography or social documentary, and submit your images for the chance to have your work exhibited at the world-famous Mall Galleries, attend the glittering VIP Awards evening and be part of the global publicity machine for our winners.

For the purposes of this competition, ’Student’ is defined as a student (full or part-time) currently attending a photography course at a recognised college or university.

The winner and two runners up of the Student Food Photographer of the Year category will receive an RPS Membership, worth £55. The winning student will have their work and an interview published in the award-winning RPS Journal.

In addition, the winner of the category will have the unique opportunity to have a 90 minute one-to-one (preferably in person, otherwise by Skype) with Commercial Photography Consultant and Mentor, Zoe Whishaw. This will include:

    • Image review of up to 30 images
    • Website review
    • Analysis of creative direction
    • Options and ideas to take career forwards

The winner of the Student Food Photographer of the Year category is not eligible for the overall title of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year
