Nigel_Atherton_250This year's categories include Food for the Family, which seeks everyday scenes of families across the world eating together; and Bring Home the Harvest - for images depicting the gathering in of food.

Nigel Atherton, Group Editor, IPC Media photography portfolio (including Amateur Photographer, What Digital Camera and Photo Technique) is joining our illustrious panel of judges together with Observer journalist Jay Rayner and Jamie Oliver's photographer David Loftus.

Last year's contest pulled in 6,000 entries worldwide and was won by Laos-based UK photographer Tessa Bunney.

The closing date for the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2015 is 8 February.

Shortlisted entries will be announced on 2 April, and the winners revealed on 6 May.
